Another idea for my project is to do and overview of how science fiction/ fantasy writing deals with the education of diverse groups of people.Authors such as Ursula Le Guin, Mary Doria Russel,Orson Scott Card, and others have addressed this topic and made some very interesting points. With this overview would be included a story written by myself that addresses some of the issues I see within multicultural education.
My final idea is a paper. A simple research paper on methods for multicultural education. Looking at things such as how English as a second language courses are administered as well as statistical research on how well those children go on to function later in their education. As well as attempting to form solutions to any problems with the system in place for dealing with multicultural students.
